A Week of Computers
Well, Now that the week of "Internet for Educators" is over, I'm able to reflect on what I will be taking from the class long-term. One of the most important things I learned from this class is the necessity of an aesthetically pleasing website. Before I came into this class, I was worried about function over style, but now I see that an attractive and easy-to-use style helps facilitate function. In other words, if the website looks nice, people will be more likely to use it. On the last day of class when we were presenting our websites, it was suggested that I state explicitly where I implemented what I learned. Clicking on the link in this post will take you to my school website. One of the things about this that is new is the colored horizontal bar that indicates where one poem begins and another ends. I think that this is a direct manifestation of a concept learned in EDW647.
